Sheesh!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This is a relatively new trend, primarily on social media, and it&#8217;s so utterly ridiculous.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been inclined to blog about but have not been in the right place at the right time, but now I am now so here we go.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m reading Google News and see this &#8220;story&#8221;&#8230; ahem, advertisement, really&#8230; and I rolled my eyes.\u00a0 Today&#8217;s dumb example is about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/ihop-ihob-pancake-burger-reactions-2019-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IHOP putting a pancake on a hamburger<\/a>.\u00a0 I see this type of thing all the time.\u00a0 Somebody says something, or does something, or tweets something, and it&#8217;s portrayed as people &#8216;freaking out&#8217;, or &#8216;going out of their mind&#8217;, or &#8216;going crazy&#8217;, or some other such similar bit of absurd hyperbole.\u00a0 And the supposedly outrageous and awesome things is always something completely not worthy of mention at all.\u00a0 I have never&#8230; ever&#8230; known of anyone to get so worked up over one of these misleading headlines.\u00a0 So please, stop with the eye roll inducing excessive overkill.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, it just a burger with a pancake.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude10\u00a0 So what?\u00a0 It&#8217;s not like the McRib came back, right Matt?\u00a0 (Inside joke)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a relatively new trend, primarily on social media, and it&#8217;s so utterly ridiculous.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been inclined to blog about but have not been in the right place at the right time, but now I am now so here we go.
